Browse our shop. PINK PAWSitive'sDog Boutique is a growing, evolving labor of pure love for our pets. The whole thing started from learning about what triggers canine epilepsy, like lead paint for example, and certain inorganic fibers. After reading the fine print on hundreds of dog toy tags, we realized that even the "GOOD" dog toys were made in China. Hmmmm....It might be cotton but where did that cotton come from? Once we tossed all those toys, we were left with nothing. So we began researching the internet for natural and organic dog toys made in the USA. Though we found natural or organic toys, the majority were still made in China. That's when we decided to put PAW to pedal and make our own. We wanted to create some toys that we knew were safe and healthy. As we all know NO dog toy is indestructible and if ingested we wouldn’t have any concerns. We started by looking for local supplies. After researching what types of materials we wanted to use we decided upon 100% wool and 100% cotton made in the USA. We went to our Goodwill in Wilsonville and purchased 100% wool & cotton sweaters, pants and blankets to recycle into toys for our dogs. From there we graduated to the Pendleton Woolen Mill Store and found a wealth of new materials we could repurpose. We have also added 100% made in the USA cotton. Then we looked into stuffing and squeakers. We ordered organic Hemp fiber but it didn't produce the effect we were looking for so we kept looking. Fortunately we were able to find just the right mix of organic fibers. As for the squeakers, we haven't found a natural organic solution or a sound that dog's like better. If you have any suggestions or ideas please, contact us. Of course collars were next. Most dogs wear their collars all the time. If it was your neck wouldn’t you want something comfortable and stylish around it? Our first attempts were with Nylon webbing (yes, we know NOT organic or Natural) though the collars were stylish they were not as comfortable as we wanted them to be and not on the natural pathway we are taking. We researched alternatives and found 100% cotton webbing that is comfortable, durable, and looks great. Since then we have started a lavish line for the more Couture Dog. While the embellishments, decorations and buckles may not all be natural, the part that touches your dog's neck is. Please browse our Dog Boutique to view and purchase from our current collections.
